Willow Valley Communities is seeking a Therapy Aide to support our rehabilitation department by assisting therapy patients and helping prepare them for physical, occupational, and speech therapy treatments. In this role, you'll provide valuable support to our entire rehabilitation team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our Residents.

What You'll Doâś…
As a Therapy Aide, you will
- Model exceptional customer service while demonstrating care, compassion, and trust toward Team Members and Residents
- Transport patients to and from therapy sessions
- Assist with patients' personal needs
- Secure patients into or onto therapy equipment
- Observe patients while waiting for or participating in therapy
- Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under the direct supervision and eye contact of a physical therapist
- Assist with routine treatments, including hydrotherapy, hot and cold packs, and paraffin baths, under the direct supervision and eye contact of a therapist
- Collaborate effectively as a valued member of the rehabilitation team
- Clean and disinfect therapy equipment and work areas regularly
- Restock linens and supplies
- Demonstrate strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Inventory and requisition supplies and equipment
- Assist with scheduling Residents and Therapists for screenings, evaluations, and treatments
- Perform clerical duties, including answering phones, taking messages, faxing, and filing paperwork
Qualifications
- Understanding of medical terminology is beneficial
- Computer literacy required
- Must have reliable motorized transportation to commute between facilities as needed
