Job description

SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising the operations of assigned table games to ensure game integrity, guest satisfaction, and compliance with policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Enforces performance standards, policies and procedures relating to all table games, ensuring compliance with the Gaming Commission regulations.
  • Checks bankroll from previous shift to ensure accuracy; assists Pit Supervisor in physical count of bankroll at shift change.
  • Observes game, players, and dealers, to ensure accuracy of the game and game protection.
  • Ensures that all games move at an appropriate pace.
  • Promotes positive guests’ relations providing a good gaming experience by answering questions, resolving disputes, locating beverage servers, comping, etc.
  • Assists in training and evaluating of subordinate employees in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Encourages rated play and tracks players, noting buy-ins, length of play, win/loss and average bet.
  • Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Understands pit accounting procedures and administrative tasks, i.e., fills, credits, marker transactions and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of two years experience in table games supervision.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational and communication skills required.

This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
