Job description

Company Background

Our client specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of food ingredients, seasonings, sauces and customized food solutions for the food service and food manufacturing industries. They determine and develop tailored seasoning and flavour solutions for customers in Malaysia and selected export markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute export sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's presence in international markets.
  • Identify new export markets, distributors, and business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
  • Plan and implement sales promotions, marketing campaigns, and business development activities to achieve annual sales and revenue objectives.
  • Organize and participate in overseas business trips, international trade exhibitions, and trade shows to generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage customer inquiries, quotations, contract negotiations, and order follow-ups to secure and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Work closely with Production, QA, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to resolve customer service and product quality issues promptly.
  • Contribute to strategic sales and marketing plans by providing market intelligence, sales analysis, and recommendations.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, annual budgets, expenditure plans, and variance analysis while implementing corrective actions to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive product marketability by identifying market trends, coordinating new product development, improving product positioning, and supporting packaging enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality management systems, including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS, and Halal requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in export sales within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in developing international markets, distributor management, and export business development.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade practices, export documentation, and overseas market development.
  • Experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and business performance analysis.
  • Familiar with food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS, and Halal requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willing to travel overseas frequently for customer visits, business development, and international exhibitions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems; multilingual ability is an added advantage.

Location: Tanjung Langsat, Johor

Salary Range: Up to RM12k

Working Hours : Mon - Fri (8:30AM - 5:30PM)
