Company Background

Our client specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of food ingredients, seasonings, sauces, and customized food solutions for the food service and food manufacturing industries. They determine and develop tailored seasoning and flavour solutions for customers in Malaysia and selected export markets.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end international logistics operations, with a strong focus on sea freight import and export activities.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and overseas agents to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping companies and international logistics partners to secure competitive freight rates and service levels.
• Manage freight procurement, contract negotiation, and logistics cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, shipping documentation, and import/export procedures.
• Apply Incoterms and international shipping risk management practices to minimize operational and commercial risks.
• Work closely with warehouse, procurement, sales, and production teams to ensure efficient inventory movement and on-time delivery.
• Monitor logistics KPIs, analyze transportation performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve shipment delays, customs issues, claims, and other logistics-related challenges promptly.
• Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team while ensuring accurate documentation and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in international logistics, with strong expertise in sea freight operations.
• Extensive network with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents, and logistics service providers.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, international trade regulations, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and logistics risk management.
• Experience working closely with warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution activities.
• Excellent negotiation, cost optimization, and vendor management skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and logistics management software.
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Location: Tanjung Langsat, Johor

Salary Range: Up to RM12k

Working Hours: Mon - Fri (8:30AM - 5:30PM)
