Graphic Design Production Contractor
Job description
CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY
Feeding San Diego is seeking an experienced Graphic Design Production Contractor to provide creative design and branding services that support our mission of connecting every person facing hunger with nutritious meals.
We are looking for a creative professional with proven graphic design and production experience who can develop compelling visual assets that support fundraising, community engagement, marketing, programs, and events. The ideal contractor will bring a strong portfolio, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders while independently managing design projects from concept through final production.
This is an independent contractor opportunity with an anticipated workload of up to 80 hours per month. Work may be performed remotely, with occasional meetings at Feeding San Diego's office in Sorrento Valley as needed for project coordination.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The selected contractor may provide services including:
Graphic Design
- Design and produce print and digital marketing materials.
- Create signage, collateral, advertisements, reports, presentation decks, event materials, and branded merchandise assets.
- Develop templates and creative assets using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Prepare files for digital distribution and print production.
Brand Development and Support
- Maintain consistency with Feeding San Diego's established brand guidelines.
- Develop visual concepts and branding elements for programs, campaigns, and events.
- Provide recommendations regarding design, layout, and visual communication strategies.
Production Coordination
- Prepare production-ready files for vendors.
- Coordinate and place orders with printers and merchandise vendors as needed.
- Review proofs and ensure final deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.
Creative Consultation
- Participate in project planning discussions.
- Provide creative solutions that support organizational goals and audience engagement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two or more years of professional graphic design experience.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, visual communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and print production.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience developing creative solutions for nonprofit, mission-driven, or community-focused organizations is preferred.

PAY & HOURS
Feeding San Diego will pay $30-$40 per hour for contracted services, up to 80 hours per month
