Job description

  • Execute and supervise commissioning and start-up activities for sea water treatment systems installed on FPSOs, offshore facilities, shipyards, and industrial plants.
  • Support mechanical completion, system readiness checks, and operational acceptance activities.
  • Assist clients during commissioning, performance testing, and equipment validation phases.
  • Supervise manufacturing, assembly, and testing activities at workshops and fabrication facilities.
  • Perform inspections and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
  • Monitor installation and commissioning activities performed by contractors and vendors.
  • Provide technical support during operation and maintenance phases.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support warranty activities, investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports, daily activity reports, commissioning records, and service documentation.
  • Maintain accurate technical records and ensure document traceability.
  • Deliver operation and maintenance training to end users.
  • Assist in the preparation of operating procedures, maintenance manuals, and commissioning procedures.
  • Share technical feedback and lessons learned with internal teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements, offshore safety procedures, and company standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident reporting activities.
  • Promote safe working practices and environmental protection initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical, Industrial, or equivalent).
  • Minimum experience in commissioning, start-up, technical support, and offshore operations.
  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry is mandatory.
  • Offshore experience, preferably within FPSO environments.
  • Valid T-BOSIET/HUET and OGUK certifications.
  • Proven experience with sea water treatment equipment, including:
    • Media filters
    • Automatic self-cleaning filters
    • Fine filtration systems
    • Cartridge filters
    • Ultra-filtration systems
    • Membrane technologies
    • Chemical dosing packages
    • Deaeration systems
    • Sea water injection packages
    • Water treatment skids
    • Pumps and pumping systems
    • Pressure vessels
    • Piping systems
    • Control panels and automation systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning procedures and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, process, and control systems.
  • Fluent English communication skills (mandatory).
  • Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
  • 6-month international offshore assignment
  • 28/28 rotation schedule.
