JOB SUMMARY The Company is an industrial gas manufacturer and distributor. The safety of our employees, Customers, and contract carriers is our first priority and paramount to our daily operations. The Zone Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing distribution operations at distribution locations. This position is located in Irving, TX and reports to the Vice President of Transportation Operations.
Essential Functions Essential Function Foster safe working environment and work with drivers and peers to maintain safety standards in the field. Facilitate and maintain all driver training files. Responsible for the safe and efficient distribution of products. Ensure all drivers and equipment complies with regulations published by the Department of Transportation. Oversee equipment maintenance to maximize utilization and life expectancy. Accountable for Distribution Manager activities such as managing all parts, fuel, and material purchasing and inventory tracking. Responsible for overseeing and auditing weekly driver payroll. Maintain and forecast direct and third party carrier costs. Work cooperatively with the Logistics Center to ensure the highest level of customer service to our customers. Research service and safety issues and participate in the root cause analysis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous transportation experience is required. Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
