Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:
- Own the integration of the turboshaft into the aircraft
- Manage mechanical interfaces
- Overseeing smooth operation of the turboshaft with its interfaces
- Overseeing correct operation of the turboshaft in its operating environment
- Managing fuel, oil, exhaust, thermal and all other systems integrations
- Define pass criteria and testing conditions for performance verification
- Optimize installation for mass, performance, maintainability and safety
What you’ll need:
- BS / MS / PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
- 8+ years experience in complex systems integration
- Strong fundamentals and demonstrated understanding complex system integration
- Experience with Siemens NX and suite of tools
- A systematic approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate complex, technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Extremely self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and documents.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Turboshaft system integration
- Experience with turbogenerator design principles
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink for control logic and numerical propulsion system simulation and performance modelling
- Experience with computational fluid dynamics and analysis
- Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
- Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification
- Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods.
