General Manager Our General Managers manage warehouse Team Members, coordinate shipping & receiving efforts in the designated region and manage operating costs for their facility. Responsibilities Maintain a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Achieve operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans Motivate the team members to achieve plan goals Build people capability through effective Team Member relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel. Develop teams to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals. Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues Review and prepare any action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements Develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping Develop and implement warehouse operations system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects as assigned and by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout. Train Team Members on all warehouse processes and ERP systems Troubleshoot all receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent re-occurrence Administer policies and procedures Work in collaboration with Leadership to meet all external and internal customer needs Flexible to work hours beyond and outside regular work schedule to ensure coverage as deemed necessary P & L responsibility Demonstrated experience managing transportation and logistics operations within a distribution environment, including inbound and outbound freight, carrier selection, routing, and delivery coordination. Supervisory Responsibility This position will have supervisory responsibility upon hiring and will lead a team of supervisors. Travel: Travel will be 10% of the role. Required Education and Experience: BA, preferably in Supply Chain or Operations 15-20 Years Management Experience preferred Intermediate to Advanced Excel is preferred Strong systems understanding is needed Continuous Improvement experience is a plus Multi-Shift leadership experience Experience leading over 100 Team Members on a 7 day work week schedule Big Box distribution experience Preferred Education and Experience: Computer Skills: Experience with Manhattan Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
