Rocket Now won the Excellence Award in the Shopping Category at the Best App Awards 2025. Role Purpose

What You Will Do

• Active Media Pitching: Lead proactive media engagement including visits to editorial departments at major dailies and specialized consumer/tech trade press.
• Relationship Maintenance: Build and sustain relationships with influential reporters, editors, and freelance writers.

• Localization: Don’t just translate; customize global messaging into culturally resonant Japanese narratives that appeals to local consumer sensibilities.
• Press Kit Mastery: Develop high-quality Japanese press kits, including "Fact Sheets," "Backgrounders," and localized high-res visual assets for broadcast media.
• Event Logistics: Manage the end-to-end execution of press conferences and on-site meetings with media and stakeholders.

• Morning Report Execution: Oversee daily media clipping and sentiment analysis
• Rapid Response: Draft immediate "Official Statements" and "Q&A" documents for delivery to media when needed.

• Storytelling: Work cross functionally to find and develop stories around the Rocket Now ecosystem.
• Agency Direction: Provide daily, granular direction to PR agencies to ensure they are meeting KPIs for media coverage and key message penetration.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on PR experience in the Japanese market, specifically within online food delivery, last-mile logistics, or general e-commerce.
• Proven Media Experience: Demonstrated success in organizing and executing large-scale press conferences in Japan.
• English Proficiency: Strong business English for reporting to global headquarters and interpreting global brand guidelines.
• Writing Precision: Ability to write a variety of communications assets including press releases and company overviews
