Epworth Freemasons is seeking an experienced and motivated Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Acute Physiotherapy Team. This part‑time position (22.8 hours per week) is ideally worked Monday to Wednesday, with some flexibility in days and hours for the right candidate. In this role, you will manage a diverse acute surgical caseload, with the opportunity to work in ICU depending on your skill set and service needs, while also contributing to non‑clinical responsibilities that support ongoing service development and team growth.
As the most senior member of the team, you will provide guidance to junior staff and play a key role in representing the service in departmental discussions and broader organisational initiatives.
You will bring strong clinical expertise in the acute inpatient setting and demonstrate a collaborative, patient‑centred approach. You will also show a commitment to continuous improvement, supported by involvement in quality initiatives and/or clinical research. Whether you are an emerging leader or bring established senior experience, you will contribute meaningfully to the culture, capability and development of the team.
You will make an impact by:
- Delivering individualised, evidence-based physiotherapy care to acute surgical and ICU patients
- Providing senior clinical leadership within the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
- Driving service development and improvement through collaboration, quality initiatives, and research
- Demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a commitment to safe, high-quality care in a dynamic environment
- Contributing to a positive and supportive team culture across physiotherapy and allied health
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive acute physiotherapy experience (minimum 7 years)
- Proven leadership skills, including staff supervision, mentoring, and education
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
- Strong communication, time management, and organisational abilities
- A passion for collaborative, patient-centred care and achieving high-quality outcomes

- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council
- Current physiotherapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
