Job description
The Accountant 2, Corporate Accounting will handle low to moderate complexity accounting tasks independently while maintaining accurate and timely completion of all assigned deliverables. This role requires applying relevant accounting standards, building knowledge of client requirements, and seeking feedback for continuous professional development.
What you will do:
- Execute core accounting operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entry posting, and transaction recording; manage assigned mailboxes and maintain source documents and records
- Prepare and compile comprehensive financial deliverables including financial statements, working papers, working schedules, and data for tax/VAT filings in accordance with prescribed guidelines
- Maintain quality standards through self-review of all deliverables, completion of required checklists, prompt resolution of review comments, and independent resolution of moderate complexity accounting queries
- Support audit and regulatory activities by attending audit queries, assisting with regulatory reporting, and providing basic client communication as required
- Contribute to team effectiveness by escalating complex issues to senior team members, supporting colleagues, and actively engaging in professional development opportunities
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field or ACCA Level 1 or ACA Professional Experience: 2 yrs of experience Corporate accounting
