Role Overview
Remodel Health is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Business Operations Specialist. This is a unique, split-role position designed to provide dedicated support to both our Financial Operations and Sales Operations departments.
As a Business Operations Specialist, you will work under different management structures depending on your current focus area. You will be expected to bolster each department during their respective busy seasons, ensuring seamless service for our clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a numbers person who is technically savvy, exceptionally organized, works both quickly and accurately, and thrives in a cross-functional environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Operations (FinOps)
- Payment Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of premium payments on behalf of members toward their health insurance plans.
- Automation & Setup: Set up members for automatic withdrawals with carriers via management of member datasets, broker portals, and insurance carrier communication.
- Billing Functions: Assist with creating and sending invoices, payment matching, and other banking functions.
- Audit & Compliance: Perform regular audits to ensure all members are in the proper status with their insurance plans and that billing data is 100% accurate.
Sales Operations (SOps)
- Quoting & Analysis: Support growth teams by running client quotes, generating proposals, and providing plan design comparisons and financial analysis.
- Data Integrity: Scrub data and work extensively with employee censuses to ensure accurate storage of information within the Remodel Health platform.
- Market Analysis: Provide analysis on health insurance marketplaces and medical data to support revenue growth and retention.
- Channel Support: Interface with Business Development and Account Management teams to provide cohesive support for clients throughout their journey.
Qualifications & Skills
- Mindset: A proactive self-starter and team player with a hunger for knowledge and a positive attitude.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level experience with Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel and Power BI), Google GSuite (Sheets, Docs), Sage (or similar accounting software), and Salesforce (or similar CRM).
- Analytical Skills: Strong accounting and data skills or a deep understanding of formula-based calculations and data analysis.
- Organizational Excellence: High level of detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask across multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
- Communication: Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Licensing: Indiana Health License is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, high-traffic operations, payroll processing, insurance, or banking is considered a significant plus.
