Job Description:

Job Summary

The Part-Time Sort Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting and supervising inbound and outbound sort operations at the Fiumicino Gateway. This role ensures efficient flow of packages and ULDs, monitors shuttle activities, and coordinates operational execution in alignment with service, safety, and compliance standards. The incumbent will work closely with the operations team leader and onsite vendor representatives to achieve on-time performance and maintain operational excellence across all shifts.

Responsibilities:
    • Supervise inbound and outbound sort operations, ensuring adherence to established procedures and service standards.

    • Oversee ULD loading and unloading activities, ensuring safe and efficient handling.

    • Monitor volume availability and ensure optimal resource utilization during sort cycles.

    • Track shuttle arrivals and coordinate timely dispatch in line with operational schedules.

    • Perform routine office tasks before and after operations, including documentation and reporting.

    • Coordinate daily operational activities with Team Leader and/or onsite vendor representatives.

    • Accept and process Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with company and regulatory standards (training provided by UPS).

    • Ensure on-time closure of sort operations and on-time shuttle departures.

    • Maintain strict adherence to safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.

    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational activities and performance metrics.

    • Uphold company standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or university degree required.
  • Proficiency in English language written and verbal (Mandatory)
  • Proven accountability in team-oriented environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and basic research skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ethical conduct and professional behavior toward team members and the organization.
  • Availability to work very early morning and late evening shifts, including holidays.

Working Hours (Split Shift)

  • Morning Shift:
    • Monday: 04:00 – 08:00
    • Tuesday to Friday: 04:30 – 08:30
  • Evening Shift (Monday to Friday):
    • 19:00 – 23:00
