Job description
At IFS, we help our customers be their best when it really matters- at their Moments of Service™. Deal Desk plays a critical role in enabling this by ensuring commercial excellence, governance, and consistency across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Japan (APJMEA) region.
As part of the Business Operations organization, the Deal Desk partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Market Units to support the structuring, approval, and execution of customer agreements in line with IFS policies, standards, and values. This role forms part of the regional Deal Desk function and reports to the Deal Desk Director, APJMEA.
The position will be based in our Saudi Arabia office.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Ensure sales transactions are structured and executed in full compliance with IFS commercial policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, safeguarding both customer outcomes and company integrity.
- Own and manage the end‑to‑end deal approval lifecycle through the IFS Deal Approval Request (DAR) system, ensuring all approvals are secured prior to the release of commercial terms or customer contracts.
- Perform detailed deal validation and pricing reviews across relevant systems, confirming the accurate application of pricing, discounting, financing arrangements, payment terms, and maintenance structures.
- Partner with Sales to advise on complex and non‑standard deal scenarios, providing clear, pragmatic guidance that balances commercial agility with risk management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Sales on revenue recognition and contractual considerations, working collaboratively with Finance, Legal, Revenue Recognition, Business Operations, and Market Unit/Business Unit Leaders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Support the interpretation and analysis of existing customer contracts, renewals, and amendments to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance.
- Maintain alignment with Global Deal Desk policies and actively support the adoption of policy updates, process improvements, and best practices across the region.
To thrive at IFS, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Deal Desk or Business Operations within the enterprise software or technology licensing industry.
- A working knowledge of IFRS 15 and core revenue recognition principles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software products, licensing models, and commercial structures.
- Demonstrated commercial judgment, with the ability to support deal velocity while maintaining robust governance and compliance.
- Experience operating effectively in cross‑functional, matrixed, and geographically dispersed teams, with an appreciation for cultural diversity.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure, and deliver high‑quality outcomes independently when required.
- A collaborative mindset aligned with IFS values—ownership, accountability, teamwork, and a structured approach to delivering results.
- AI literacy and fluency
