About the Role: The Zakat & Wakaf Business will be responsible for building and scaling Amartha Empower’s zakat and wakaf vertical into a sustainable, credible, and high-growth impact engine. This role sits at the intersection of: Business development Program Development Partnership & ecosystem building Responsibilities 1. Strategy & Business Development Develop and execute the zakat & wakaf growth strategy (B2C & B2B) Identify and unlock new revenue streams (corporate zakat, payroll zakat, impact funds) Define annual targets and roadmap aligned with Empower & Amartha OKRs 2. Partnership & Ecosystem Building Build strategic partnerships with Corporates, Institutions (BAZNAS, LAZ, MUI, etc & Community & ecosystem partners 3. Program Development & Zakat Distribution Management
- 5–8+ Years of Relevant Experience Experience in business development, partnerships, or fundraising Preferably in fintech, social impact, nonprofit, or Islamic finance 2. Strong Understanding of Zakat & Islamic Social Finance Familiar with zakat, wakaf, and related ecosystem Understanding of regulatory landscape is a strong plus 3. Proven Track Record in Partnerships & Revenue Growth Experience closing and managing B2B deals / institutional partnerships Ability to translate strategy into execution 4. Strategic Thinking with Execution Capability 5. Cross-functional Leadership Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 6. Mission-Driven & Impact-Oriented Passion for social impact and community empowerment 7. Business & Fundraising Total Zakat & Wakaf GMV (monthly & annual) 8. Partnerships Number of active institutional partners (corporates, UPZ, etc.) Value generated from partnerships
