The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company’s Labor Relations organization is currently seeking a Labor Relations Specialist (Senior) to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The ideal applicant is someone who has a broad range of experience covering the areas of labor relations, positive employee relations, and employee engagement. The selected candidate for this position will demonstrate proactive approaches to identifying issues, generating ideas and developing solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day labor relations activities for unionized employees, including contract interpretation and enforcement
Investigate and resolve grievances and disputes in collaboration with union representatives and management
Provides strategic advice, counsel and interpretation to management, Human Resources and employees on a broad range of complex employee relations issues
Collaborate with legal, HR, and operations teams to mitigate labor risks and support organizational objectives
Analyze labor trends, prepare reports, and recommend proactive solutions to improve labor-management relations
Develop strong relationships with business leaders, union leaders, HR Generalists, HR functions and create integrated solutions that will foster a culture based on people focus, trust and ownership.
Partner with labor relation specialists and functional partners to integrate and execute key actions following union negotiations and work environment assessments
Execute positive employee relations and containment processes for a stand-alone site(s)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working with HR Labor and/or Employment related laws, policies and procedures, in particular the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
5+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans and/or executing strategies and managing projects
5+ years of experience working with labor unions
5+ years of experience managing sensitive labor issues that required the use of emotional intelligence to effectively resolve conflicts and support employee well-being
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 5: 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
5+ years of experience with HR Labor and/or Employment related laws, policies and procedures, in particular the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
5+ years of experience with collective bargaining and union-represented workforce
Experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior business leaders across functions, demonstrating excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Experience identifying and mitigating risks to maintain management rights
Experience with negotiations
Experience with Workday

Summary Pay Range (Level 4): $107,100 - $144,900
