Role Overview: The General Manager will oversee the overall operations, performance, and strategic direction of Palazzo Ezulwini International Convention Center and the future hotel. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in hospitality, large-scale event management, and business development to position the property as a top-tier venue in Southern Africa. Key Responsibilities: · Lead the day-to-day operations of the convention center and, later, the hotel, ensuring seamless execution of events, conferences, and guest services. · Drive sales and revenue strategies, working closely with the commercial team to attract international and regional events. · Establish operational excellence, maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and efficiency. · Develop and implement a long-term business plan to position Palazzo Ezulwini as a market leader. · Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, corporate clients, and event organizers. · Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost control to maximize profitability. · Lead, inspire, and mentor department heads, fostering a strong, guest-centric culture. · Ensure compliance with local and international hospitality regulations and standards.
