Job description

The Team Lead supports their team in the deployment of solutions by being responsible and accountable for the successful execution of work within their business domain. They assist the Team Manager with operational management, including the prioritization and assignment of tasks, as well as the implementation of deployment processes and strategies. The Team Lead supports specialists by acting as a coach, identifying training needs, and organizing knowledge transfer activities.

Operations and Deployment Management

  • Oversee deployments and work to resolve operational issues in order to ensure the achievement of both client and LGI objectives.
  • Ensure transparent communication with external clients and internal LGI departments by effectively conveying relevant information.
  • Plan and facilitate post-mortem reviews following completed work with involved stakeholders to improve procedures and processes.
  • Assign tasks and prioritize projects in collaboration with the Manager and the Project Management Office.
  • Receive and schedule version certification requests.
  • Deploy solutions at client sites when required.

Coaching and Training

  • Act as a coach to deployment specialists.
  • Identify and plan required knowledge transfers in preparation for upcoming projects.
  • Support deployment specialists during deployments, as needed.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization of Deployment Processes

  • Develop, in collaboration with Architecture and R&D teams, the deployment strategy required for the product families under their responsibility.
  • Ensure proper review of deployment processes, strategies, and documentation in collaboration with team members.
  • Facilitate team workshops related to deployment strategies and tools.
  • Be responsible for communicating and disseminating processes to team members.
  • Ensure that deployment runbooks are robust, certified, and well mastered by deployment specialists.

All of the above is carried out in close collaboration with the Team Manager.

Education / Experience / Certifications

  • College diploma (DEC or equivalent) in Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps.
  • Strong analytical skills, resourcefulness, and ability to understand and interpret deployment and system log files.
  • Demonstrated leadership and a strong aptitude for collaboration and knowledge sharing among colleagues.
  • Curiosity, proactive mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment and maintain a high tolerance for stress.
  • Availability to work regularly on a non-traditional or atypical schedule.
  • This position requires bilingualism, as the candidate will work with documentation in both French and English and will be required to communicate verbally and in writing with French- and English-speaking partners, clients, suppliers, and colleagues.

Technical Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the healthcare system.
  • Familiarity with IT solutions used within the healthcare network.
  • Knowledge of system interfaces.
  • Experience with deployments using Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or MS SQL databases.
