Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing the resources, coordination, and leadership necessary to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively. This position manages preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs while overseeing the operation, preservation, and repair of machinery, equipment, facilities, and utility systems to support business objectives and ensure operational continuity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assign and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate planned corrective maintenance activities and monitor execution.
  • Follow up on the completion of work orders and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure technicians have the necessary spare parts, tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their work safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate maintenance personnel to support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Ensure the continuity and reliability of manufacturing operations through effective maintenance practices.
  • Monitor and maintain utility and energy systems within established operating parameters.
  • Administer and maintain the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, ensuring data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Ensure maintenance department KPIs and performance metrics are achieved and maintained.
  • Authorize the release of machinery and equipment for external repairs or supplier quotations when required.
  • Oversee the care, preservation, and reliability of machinery, equipment, facilities, tools, and maintenance-related assets.
  • Ensure backups of automation and control systems, including PLCs, drives, HMIs, and related equipment, are maintained and updated.
  • Enforce compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and all applicable safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workshop.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, procedures, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Support organizational objectives related to business performance, continuous improvement, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Technical Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in metalworking, industrial manufacturing, wire and cable, or related industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial maintenance systems.
  • Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience leading and supervising maintenance personnel.
  • Experience working with suppliers and external service providers.
  • English proficiency preferred.
