About the role:
As Team Leader, you will support the operational and academic success of the campus, driving strong attendance, engagement, and learner outcomes. Reporting to the Campus Manager, you will work closely with Trainers to build a positive, high-performing learning environment. You will focus on developing Trainer capability, lifting performance, and ensuring high standards of teaching and student experience. Leading by example, you will foster a supportive culture aligned with company values and contribute to both team and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and drive strong academic outcomes
- Manage and coach Trainers to meet performance KPIs
- Ensure high-quality teaching delivery across programmes
- Oversee day-to-day educational operations of the campus
- Foster a positive, high-performing team environment
- Ensure alignment with and demonstration of company values
About you:
You are an experienced people leader with a strong background in training or teaching, and a passion for developing others. You are motivated to shape how skills are delivered, ensuring students are well prepared for success in industry. You bring a collaborative approach, high standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement in both team performance and learner outcomes.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience leading and managing tutors, trainers, or educators
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Tourism and/or Aviation industry
- At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant supervisory or leadership role
- Experience in an education or workplace training environment
- Sound knowledge of NZQA frameworks, academic delivery, and compliance requirements
- Certificate in Adult Teaching (Level 4 or higher) is highly desirable
