The HS&W Advisor is responsible for providing practical guidance and technical support to promote positive HSW outcomes across the business. This role focuses on building strong relationships with teams, offering HSW advice and coaching to embed best safety practices.
Responsibilities include:
Engaging with team leaders and kaimahi on site, focusing on building strong relationships, offering HSW advice and coaching to embed best practice.
Supporting and conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, to identify hazards and develop plans to eliminate or control these.
Facilitating incident and close call investigations, including leading learning teams, working to implement the resulting findings and actions.
Practical guidance and technical support to promote positive HSW outcomes across the business.
Identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enable continuous improvement of HSW management.

Strong communication skills and confidence in your ability to work alongside and influence managers will set you in good stead with this role. You'll also have:
Tertiary level qualification in an appropriate discipline. (preferred)
Level 4 workplace H&S qualification or higher (required)
Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and good practice.
Understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
Experience delivering HSW support in complex operational environments, and strong understanding of critical risk management would be advantageous.
