Job description

Bar Operation

  • Coordinate and assist in opening/closing duties and ensure that all settings are completed according to standards and procedures prior to the start of operation.
  • Supervise daily bar operations to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with company standards.
  • Take and record bar reservations/cancellations in accordance to departmental standards. Reconfirm reservations through phone calls or email on a daily basis.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to maintain high levels of performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guests’ complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently. Report any complaints, incidents or other irregularities to management.
  • Supervise and assist in assigned work station’s activities and oversee the operation of bar in the absence of management.
  • Monitor beverage quality, presentation, and consistency to uphold brand standards.
  • Ensure that all food & beverage are served according to service standard.
  • Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and service recovery in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support the development and implementation of beverage promotions, seasonal menus, and upselling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with restaurant, kitchen, and management teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the bar area and equipment.

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents & preparation methods, bar and hotel services/features.
  • Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
  • Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
  • Report for duty on time wearing clean and complete uniform at all times.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by Bar Manager / Management of the Hotel.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
  • Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverage service standards.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
