HEALTH & SAFETY INTERNSHIP
ABOUT THE ROLE
At SkyNRG, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plays a key role in supporting a safe, compliant, and future-ready organization. As an HSE Intern, you will support the development and implementation of health and safety processes while contributing to projects that strengthen our safety culture.
During this internship, you will work closely with the HSE team and gain hands-on experience with HSE documentation, risk awareness, and training initiatives. In addition to supporting daily HSE activities, you will contribute to projects focused on improving processes, documentation, and employee awareness.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- HSE research & support: Conduct research on relevant HSE topics to support ongoing initiatives and improvements, applying a foundational understanding of HSE engineering principles (e.g. HAZID/HAZOP basics, risk matrices).
- Documentation & processes: Support drafting and improving HSE processes, policies, and documentation. Assist in standardizing HSE technical procedures, work instructions, and control documentation; apply process mapping techniques to identify gaps, leveraging basic engineering risk assessment concepts.
- Training & awareness: Assist in developing educational content such as HSE toolbox talks and learning materials. Support in translating regulatory and engineering concepts (including risk identification and assessment methodologies) into accessible content for cross-functional audiences.
- Implementation: Assist in implementing HSE processes, including supporting training and adoption across the organization, reinforcing consistent application of fundamental HSE engineering practices.
YOUR PROFILE
You recognize yourself in the following
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental engineering, Chemical/process engineering or a related technical discipline (e.g. Environmental science, Chemistry), or a related field (enrolled for the full duration of the internship)
- Strong interest in health, safety, and compliance within a dynamic work environment
- Familiarity with HSE management system standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) or regulatory frameworks (EU directives, REACH, etc. )
- Basic understanding of HSE/safety engineering principles, including introductory concepts in HAZID/HAZOP, knowing what P&IDs and block flow diagrams are and being able to read them at a general level.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate technical findings into clear documentation
- Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Professional level of English, both written and spoken
- Full-time availability for a 6-month internship
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing and evolving organization
