What the day will look like As part of an industry-leading team, you will help deliver results to our multinational clients by working on innovative and effective People Risk solutions as part of Aon’s Health Solutions business. Global Benefits partners with Multinational companies to optimize their People Risk strategy. The core of our support lies in the management of the insured benefit plans globally and the setup of the employee benefit strategy. This strategy will involve local renewal support, global consolidation to employee benefits in a Captive. In addition Aon also partners with clients on the broader scope of People Risk such as mitigation of claims, Employee Wellbeing, DE&I and Employee Value Propositions in combination with other Aon Expertise Teams such as Talent Assessment and Compensation. As a regional underwriter, you will be responsible for delivering underwriting advisory to EMEA based multinationals under the guidance of the Captive EB Services Global Head of Underwriting Contribute to the implementation of the strategy for the Captive EB Services advisory business; Work with our clients’ account management teams to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of underwriting advice to our clients; Generate policy underwriting proposals to be shared with Risk and Insurance Managers at the client; Collaborate and share best-practices with other Regional Employee Benefits Captive Underwriters under the lead of the Captive EB Services Global Head of Underwriting; Liaise with EB providers across our client portfolio to discuss underwriting related topics; Ensure diligent and high-quality delivery of Captive EB underwriting advice to high client satisfaction and as such indirectly contribute to sales and revenue growth of the Captive EB Services team; Liaise with internal AON stakeholders, to effectively meet project/client deadlines, under guidance of the Global Head of Underwriting; Build an internal network of Aon colleagues active in the underwriting/captive space, as well as an external industry contacts network; Review reinsurance financial statements issued by the insurers and validate them against captive underwriting reports; Work towards achieving a net positive financial settlement for client’s captive portfolio; How this opportunity is different This role will provide you with international exposure working with clients and Aon teams across the world with the opportunity to develop yourself, the solutions and the team. We have a close-knit team of 15+ professionals in Amsterdam, and around 30 across EMEA which provides us with a multicultural environment, with over 10 nationalities and spoken languages in the team. . Skills and experience that will lead to success Structured knowledge and technical understanding of insurance financial reporting, with experience on Employee Benefits insurance underwriting and processes being a considerable plus Minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience Data analytics experience High proficiency in Excel Language requirements – proficient in English International experience is a plus, not a must Bachelor or Master Degree, or proven equality of knowledge based on experience, preferably in Economics, Actuarial, Finance, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Mathematics or related subjects or equivalent years of industry experience.
