Job description

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for performing and overseeing the analysis and design of steel structures, ensuring safe, standards-compliant solutions that align with architectural and client requirements. With a minimum of 8+ years of experience in structural engineering—specializing in steel structures—the Senior Engineer will independently manage projects or significant project components, optimize designs for performance and cost-effectiveness, and ensure all work meets industry codes. The Senior Engineer will support Lead Engineers, mentor junior staff, participate in QAQC reviews, and contribute to technical innovation and best practices in structural engineering.

  • Maters in Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on steel structures.
  • Perform structural analysis and design to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Capable of ensuring designs from concept to construction stage and drawings are accurate, tie in with architectural design, and adhere to design Standards.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software’s such as SAP2000, ETABS and STAAD. Pro.
  • Familiar with Connection design and software’s such as Idea Statica, Ram connection and MathCad or Excel Spread sheets.
  • Extensive knowledge of steel design codes and standards (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, Indian standards). Familiar with applicable international and local design manuals, codes, and regulations
  • Optimize steel designs for cost-effectiveness and performance.
  • Strong analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Capable of producing technical reports for regulatory approvals and client submissions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines. Maintaining records of communication with all stakeholders, such as e-mails, scans, and letters
  • Excellent communication, teamwork abilities, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Capable of attending and participating in meetings and contributing as expected.
  • Oversee the work of junior engineers and technical staff, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
  • Experience in large-scale to small scale commercial, Industrial, Mixed-use and infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of steel materials, fabrication, construction methods, sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Participate in professional development activities, membership, and continuous learning.
