Job description
The Junior Structural Engineer will assist in the analysis and design of steel buildings, supporting project teams from concept through detailed stages. Up to 2yrs of experience in structural engineering, the Junior Engineer will contribute to calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, gain exposure to structural software, and learn from experienced engineers in commercial and industrial projects.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
- Up to 2 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with steel structures.
- Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro.
- Exposure to connection design tools (e.g., Idea Statica, RAM Connection, MathCad, Excel) is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of steel design codes and standards (AISC, Eurocode, Indian Standards) and relevant regulations.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Capable of assisting in the preparation of calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to liaise with interdisciplinary teams and learn project documentation practices.
- Experience or internship in commercial or industrial projects is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn about steel materials, fabrication, and construction methods.
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
