Who We Are
Provenir is a global fintech company with offices across North America, the UK, and Singapore backed by talented teams across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM. Provenir helps fintechs, financial institutions, and payment providers make smarter decisions, faster. We are passionate about technology and empowering businesses to become industry leaders. As a leading provider of decisioning and analytics products for financial services and other industries, we empower businesses to create digital-first decisioning solutions that drive business growth. If you’d like to work at an innovative fintech with a global footprint that is redefining the industry, then we want you!
The Cloud Operations team sits at the centre of Provenir's platform reliability function. This team keeps our AI-powered risk decisioning platform running for banks, fintechs, and lenders globally, 24x7, 365 at scale. They own the infrastructure, the monitoring, and the incident response that our customers depend on. This hire is a growth investment. We are building depth in India and this role is one of the foundational positions in that team.
The Role
This role is a 1 year contract to hire, where you will support the production operation of a cloud-hosted SaaS platform used by financial institutions to make real-time credit, fraud, and onboarding decisions. That means AWS infrastructure, containerised applications on Kubernetes, and the observability tooling that tells us when something is wrong before our customers do.
This is an early-career role. You will learn on live systems, with senior engineers alongside you. The expectation is not that you know everything. The expectation is that you are technically solid, curious, and take ownership when things break.
What You Will Do
- Investigate and resolve production issues across Java-based applications and AWS infrastructure
- Analyse application logs, JVM metrics, and performance data to find root causes, not just symptoms
- Monitor platform health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk
- Support Kubernetes workloads, deployments, pod health, cluster operations
- Contribute to automation and scripting to reduce manual operational effort
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management following ITIL-aligned processes
- Write and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles
- Rotate through 24x7 on-call support coverage
What We Are Looking For
You have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, production support, or a DevOps environment. You have worked with AWS (EC2, RDS, EKS or ECS, S3) CloudWatch, IAM and you know your way around Linux. You have seen a Java application fail in production and you know where to look first.
You do not need to have done all of this at scale. You do need to have done it for real.
Strong candidates will also bring
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker in a production context
- Shell or Python scripting for operational tasks
- Familiarity with at least one observability platform
- A habit of writing things down documentation, RCAs, runbooks
- Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action
- 24/7 shift rotation
AWS Associate certification is a plus. So is any exposure to SRE practices or AI-assisted operational tooling.
*Please note, this is 1 year contract to hire employment*
Our employees are our top priority; we offer comprehensive health and wellness plans. You will enjoy paid time off and company holidays, flexible and remote-friendly opportunities, and maternity/paternity leave.
