Job Title: Marketing Manager

Job-Type: Full-time with probationary period

Reports To: Business Operations Manager

Location: Japan

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with directors on developing the overall Japan marketing strategy
  • Support the country leadership teams with marketing insights and ideas to continuously drive performance
  • Own the brand strategy driving distinctiveness and impact and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Deploy innovative and cost-efficient marketing activations that allow us to punch above our weight as a start-up
  • Oversee and develop consumer interactions to ensure we are delivering a stellar customer experience across all touchpoints
  • Lead the planning and execution across all marketing channels including digital/performance marketing, content and social media, offline marketing and events, third party listing platforms, partnerships, PR (corporate and consumer)
  • Focus on continuous improvement across all channels to optimize effectiveness and ROI
  • Deliver regular performance reports to management
  • Ensure we deliver the requisite number of room bookings set out in business targets
  • Work with the tech team to improve website and customer portals
  • Hone and develop all marketing processes and practices to increase team effectiveness

What makes you a great fit

  • An undergraduate degree in any field (business-related is a bonus)
  • Strong academic and professional track record
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Marketing (both online and offline)
  • Experience working in a start-up / high growth company
  • Experience managing a reasonably sized budget
  • Experience in social media, influencer, content marketing and storytelling
