IN A NUTSHELL…

The Director/VP of Marketing is an enterprise leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, customer engagement, and brand equity across all markets and channels.

This individual partners with senior leaders to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies, build scalable capabilities, and ensure marketing is directly connected to commercial performance, product strategy, and retail execution.

This role will evolve marketing from a reactive support function to a proactive, data-driven growth engine, aligned with company strategy and market opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Commercial Performance

  • Own marketing contribution to revenue, traffic, and conversion performance
  • Drive store traffic, digital revenue, and customer growth
  • Execute promotions and campaign strategies aligned to business goals
  • Partner with Finance on ROI and budget optimization
  • Build dashboards and performance reporting cadence

Enterprise Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Define enterprise marketing strategy across all markets
  • Translate business goals into marketing roadmaps
  • Establish campaign and product launch planning cadence
  • Shift organization to proactive planning model

Brand, Creative & Content Leadership

  • Own brand strategy and positioning
  • Oversee campaigns, content, and creative production
  • Ensure consistency across markets

Retail & Field Marketing Integration

  • Partner with retail leadership to drive store performance
  • Align marketing with in-store execution and promotions
  • Ensure strategies are executable at the field level

Product & Commercialization Alignment

  • Partner with product and supply chain on launches
  • Align marketing with inventory and assortment strategies
  • Support demand generation for key products

Organizational Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and scale marketing organization across key functions
  • Build talent pipeline and succession plans
  • Drive performance management and accountability

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Define KPIs tied to revenue and customer metrics
  • Build data-driven marketing culture
  • Use insights to refine strategy

Governance, Compliance & Brand Risk

  • Ensure compliance with marketing regulations
  • Protect brand integrity across markets

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • 10+ years in marketing leadership
  • 5+ years leading multi-market teams
  • Experience driving revenue growth through marketing
  • Strong background across brand, digital, and CRM
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Financial acumen and ROI ownership
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred

  • Retail, consumer goods, or cannabis experience
  • Experience in regulated industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business (MBA preferred)
  • Experience with CRM and marketing technology platforms

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Consistently operates a computer and other office devices
  • Travel for prolong periods of time
  • Able to remain stationary or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
