Job Duties

  • Set up and conduct biological, microbiological, and biochemical laboratory tests and analyses to support research and quality control activities
  • Apply laboratory techniques including but not limited to microscopy, histochemistry, chromatography, electrophoresis, and spectroscopy
  • Perform standardized laboratory procedures related to antibody production, characterization, and validation
  • Conduct immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining procedures and prepare microscope slides for analysis
  • Prepare laboratory reagents, buffers, and solutions in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Handle, label, aliquot, and store biological samples and laboratory materials following laboratory protocols
  • Collect, organize, and assist in the analysis of laboratory data and experimental results
  • Identify and report experimental variances or technical issues
  • Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment used in biological testing and research
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and cleaning
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures, quality control standards, and established protocols

Job Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience in biological, biotechnology, or biomedical environments
  • Experience performing laboratory tests and operating laboratory equipment
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques such as microscopy, histochemistry, or electrophoresis is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
