With continued growth and a strong focus on safety leadership, we are seeking a HR Operations Administrator to join our HR Team and play a key role in delivering scalable, high quality HR operations across corporate and project environments.
About this role
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the HR Operations Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of HR administrative processes within an assigned scope.
This role supports onboarding, HR data management, mobilisation, payroll inputs, and workforce compliance, ensuring all activities are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with company standards.
The position works closely with both head office and project teams and contributes to maintaining efficient, consistent, and compliant HR operations.
Where project-based HR & Site Administration support is not available, the role will take responsibility for delivering HR administration activities for head office-managed projects within scope .
The role is primarily Brisbane‑based and requires a willingness to travel to project sites to provide short-term operational support, develop practical site exposure, and build hands-on project experience. This may include FIFO or DIDO arrangements, when required.
Key responsibilities
As an HR Operations Administrator, you will
- Deliver HR administrative processes across onboarding, employment changes, and offboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records across HRIS and payroll systems
- Prepare employment documentation, including contracts and variations
- Support recruitment administration, including scheduling and offer preparation
- Coordinate onboarding requirements, including documentation, compliance checks, and system updates
- Support mobilisation activities, including documentation, workforce tracking, and readiness checks
- Maintain workforce records including rosters, personnel movements, and compliance tracking
- Work with HR & Site Administration Officers (Projects) to process and validate site-based data and documentation
- Support payroll administration, including preparation and validation of timesheets and allowances
- Identify discrepancies in data and escalate as required
- Provide administrative HR support to Project Managers (process-focused, non-ER)
- Assist with preparation of HR reports and audit documentation
- Support continuous improvement of HR processes and systems
- Provide short-term operational support to project teams when required (including potential travel to site)
Experience and qualifications
Essential
- Certificate IV or higher in Business Administration or Human Resources
- Experience in HR operations, coordination, or a similar role
- Exposure to payroll coordination and HR systems
- Strong understanding of HR administrative processes and employee lifecycle
Desirable
- Experience working in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments
- Experience supporting multi-site or FIFO/DIDO workforces
