What You Bring to the Table
- Valid Journeyman certification for the province of Alberta or Red Seal
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Some experience with small engine equipment
About the Opportunity
This position works cohesively with their department to achieve a high standard of work in order to maintain the fleet of vehicles & equipment owned by Peter Hughes Landscape. This work includes but is not limited to vehicle & equipment repairs, inspections, routine maintenance, and all other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
- Conduct regular maintenance inspection reports on all equipment and vehicles, keeping dated records of all performed maintenance.
- Respond and act upon service requests from field personnel, which includes, but is not limited to, field repairs of vehicles and various equipment.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance done are in accordance with best practices, industry standards, and any relevant legislation.
- Respond to immediate safety and/or operational concerns and take appropriate action to resolve immediate safety issues and maintain a high-functioning work environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised using standardized practices and/or methods.
- Knowledge of small-engine repair and maintenance, heavy equipment maintenance, and automotive repair and maintenance.
- The organizational and time management skills are required to maintain a growing fleet of vehicles and equipment.
