Summary: The Hall Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and well-being of students residing in the hostels. This position is responsible for maintaining essential infrastructure, including electrical and plumbing systems, while guaranteeing a consistent and adequate water supply. The supervisor oversees daily operations, monitors student welfare, manages inventory and maintenance records, and ensures cleanliness and security within the residential halls. By addressing student concerns promptly, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating support staff through weekly rosters, the Hall Supervisor contributes significantly to a safe, functional, and supportive living environment. This role is vital in upholding the standards of residential life and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. Responsibilities: - Ensure all electrical and plumbing accessories in the pumping station are in good working condition and properly maintained. - Guarantee prompt and adequate water supply to the hostels at all times. - Monitor hostel premises for any unusual or suspicious activities and report them to superiors immediately. - Maintain and organize the store within the halls of residence, ensuring inventory accuracy and availability. - Maintain accurate records of students allocated to bed spaces in the halls. - Receive, document, and address student complaints in a timely and professional manner. - Oversee and enforce cleanliness standards throughout the residential halls. - Promote and support the overall welfare and safety of students living in the halls. - Prepare and distribute weekly rosters for porters and other support staff. - Maintain a detailed register of damages in the halls for purposes of surcharge and replacement by room occupants.
