Sales Executive, Surety - Job Description
Position Summary
The Sales Executive, Surety is responsible for driving new business development and expanding client relationships by delivering tailored bonding and risk solutions. This role focuses on identifying and qualifying prospects, understanding client needs, and partnering across the organization to deliver comprehensive, value-driven solutions. The position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a strong hunter mentality and the ability to contribute directly to revenue growth while supporting broader organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Leadership & Ownership
· Owns business development within the Surety practice, driving prospecting strategy and pipeline growth.
· Acts as a subject matter expert in surety solutions and client advisory.
· Partners with internal teams to align solutions with client needs and organizational objectives.
Hands-On Execution & Delivery
· Generates and qualifies leads through market research and networking.
· Develops and executes sales strategies to secure new clients.
· Maintains a strong understanding of client needs and delivers tailored solutions.
Reporting, Quality & Operational Support
· Maintains accurate sales activity tracking and pipeline reporting.
· Ensures high-quality client interactions and solution delivery.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Integration
· Collaborates with internal divisions to cross-sell solutions and services.
· Partners with stakeholders to deliver integrated client strategies.
Growth, Change & Special Initiatives
· Identifies and pursues new market opportunities and business ventures.
· Supports firm growth through proactive business development efforts.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
· Stays informed on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
· Continuously improves sales strategies and client engagement practices.
Accountability
· Delivering revenue growth through new business and client expansion.
· Maintaining strong client relationships and satisfaction.
· Supporting organizational growth and cross-selling initiatives.
· Demonstrating ownership, integrity, and accountability in all interactions.
Qualifications
Required
· 2-7 years of sales experience or relevant insurance experience depending on background.
· Proven ability to generate leads and close business.
· Strong networking presence in PA, MD, DC, or VA regions.
Preferred
· Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
· Experience with Applied EPIC.
· Property & Casualty license.
