Mechanical Inspector

MECHANICAL INSPECTOR Company: KN International Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: KN International is seeking a Mechanical Inspector for a pumping station project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting mechanical installations including pumps, piping systems, valves, and associated mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections of mechanical works including pumps, piping systems, valves, and mechanical equipment installations. Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and authority requirements. Inspect installation of pump sets, pipe alignment, supports, and testing & commissioning activities. Review Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors and provide timely responses. Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship prior to installation. Monitor pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning activities. Maintain detailed site records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports. Coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project engineers. Review method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation. Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and quality concerns. Coordinate with electrical and civil teams for interface works in the pumping station. Required Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in pumping stations or similar MEP infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of pumps, piping systems, and mechanical installations. Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements. Experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning processes. Strong communication and coordination skills.
