Job Description – Purchase/Procurement Executive Position Summary We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Materials Planning Executive to manage procurement operations, material planning, inventory coordination, and end-to-end P2P (Procure-to-Pay) activities in a manufacturing/EMS environment. The role focuses on ensuring timely material availability, effective inventory management, supplier coordination, and smooth execution of procurement and production support activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of MRP, procurement processes, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities Procurement & P2P Operations Manage complete P2P (Procure-to-Pay) cycle activities. Handle procurement activities from PR (Purchase Requisition) to PO (Purchase Order) creation and closure. Coordinate with suppliers for order confirmation, delivery schedules, and material follow-up. Monitor procurement timelines and ensure timely material availability for production. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Execute and monitor MRP activities based on production plans and project requirements. Analyze material shortages, lead times, and demand forecasts. Coordinate with planning and production teams to align procurement with manufacturing schedules. Support material planning for ongoing and upcoming projects. Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock. Track slow-moving, non-moving, and blocked inventory. Coordinate with stores and planning teams for inventory optimization. Ensure inventory accuracy and material traceability. GRN & IQC Coordination Coordinate GRN (Goods Receipt Note) activities with stores and warehouse teams. Work closely with IQC (Incoming Quality Control) teams to ensure timely inspection and clearance of materials. Resolve material discrepancies, rejection issues, and supplier-related concerns. Material Tracking & Build Readiness Maintain and update material tracker for all active projects and production requirements. Track ETD (Estimated Time of Delivery) and shipment status from suppliers. Ensure “Clear to Build” status by confirming complete material readiness prior to production release. Provide regular updates on material availability and shortages to stakeholders. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with: Procurement Planning Stores Quality Production Finance teams Support smooth execution of manufacturing schedules and customer commitments. Required Skills & Qualifications Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in: Supply Chain Management Operations Commerce Engineering Related disciplines Experience Experience in: Procurement Material Planning Inventory Management EMS / Manufacturing industry preferred Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: P2P cycle MRP processes Inventory management Procurement operations PR to PO process flow Good understanding of: ETD tracking GRN and IQC coordination Material planning and scheduling Supply chain operations Tools & Systems Familiarity with: ERP/SAP systems MS Excel Material tracking tools and reports Strong analytical and reporting skills. Soft Skills Good communication and coordination skills. Strong follow-up and organizational abilities. Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environments. Problem-solving and multitasking capability. Preferred Qualifications Experience in EMS, Aerospace, Defense, or Electronics Manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
