Job description
Location: Ho Chi Minh City,Ho Chi Minh,Vietnam
Trusting Social is an AI Fintech pioneer that's revolutionizing credit access in emerging markets. Our mission is "Advancing AI to Meet the Financial Needs of Everyday Consumers with Empathy." We've assessed over 1 billion consumers across four countries, and we're on a mission to provide 100 million credit lines using the power of AI and Big Data.
What You'll Do
- Own the full accounting cycle for our US entity, Kompato: month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and accruals.
- Own Group entity accounting operations, including bookkeeping review, month-end close support, reconciliations, GST filing support, and statutory accounting coordination.
- Manage Group payment operations and banking workflows, including vendor payments, payment approvals, bank portal processes, supporting documents, and payment tracking.
- Own the Group consolidation process across all entities: USA, Mexico, Group, India, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam.
- Ensure intercompany eliminations, FX translation, consolidation adjustments, and entity-level reporting schedules are accurate and well-documented.
- Coordinate accounting workstreams across Country Finance Managers, ensuring consistent timelines, reporting standards, and quality.
- Support Group-level reporting schedules, audit schedules, and accounting data requests required for board, investor, lender, and management reporting.
- Actively drive AI automation of recurring accounting, payment, close, consolidation, and reporting work.
- Ensure all payment, banking, close, audit, and reporting processes have proper documentation, approval evidence, and audit trail.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of total accounting experience across accounting operations, month-end close, consolidation, audit support, and multi-entity finance.
- Demonstrated ability to own month-end close and recurring accounting operations end-to-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany, FX, and reporting schedules.
- Strong experience with payment operations, banking workflows, vendor payments, approval processes, supporting documentation, and audit trail requirements.
- Experience working with outsourced service providers, auditors, tax advisors, banks, corporate secretary, and cross-border internal finance teams.
- Strong technical accounting fundamentals - able to independently handle complex issues such as revenue recognition, intercompany, FX, accruals, consolidation, and statutory-to-management reporting differences.
- Strong process discipline: able to build close checklists, payment trackers, recurring calendars, SOPs, file maps, approval matrices, and control documentation from scratch.
- High comfort with AI and automation tools. Must be willing to automate recurring accounting, payment, close, reconciliation, and reporting workflows.
- Excellent written and spoken English - daily interaction with US stakeholders, auditors, outsourced providers, and cross-border teams.
- Ability and commitment to overlap with US business hours 1-2 days per week.
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with US GAAP and Group statutory requirements is preferred. For strong candidates who do not yet have this experience, the company is willing to invest in structured training to build this capability.
- CPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent qualification, or actively working toward one.
- Prior experience at a fintech, lending, collections, SaaS, technology, or multi-market business.
- Familiarity with SAP Business One, including its consolidation module, is preferred.
- Experience coordinating cross-border accounting teams.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary benchmarked at upper-market range, including guaranteed 13th month salary and variable performance bonus.
- Enterprise-level AI: Claude & Gemini access, equipping employees with advanced AI tools to work faster, reduce manual load, and focus on higher-value work.
- Direct exposure to the CEO in a high-visibility, high-impact role.
- Opportunity to help build a centralized, AI-enabled finance function from Vietnam for a multi-market business.
- Comprehensive health care for you and your dependents.
- Generous leave policies and flexible work hours.
- Convenient District 1 office location (next to a metro station).
- Onsite lunch with multiple options.
- Grab for work allowance and fully equipped workstations.
- Fun team-building activities, sponsored sports clubs, and Thursday happy hours.
- Unlimited free coffee, tea, snacks, and fruit.
- A chance to make a profound social impact by democratizing credit access in emerging markets.
