For more than 50 years, Interim HealthCare has been helping people receive the care they need where they are most comfortable. Our family-owned franchise has proudly served Virginia communities since 1991.

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Hospice Liaison / Business Development Representative to serve our Southside territory. This is not an entry-level sales position. The ideal candidate understands hospice philosophy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about helping patients and families access compassionate end-of-life care through trusted community partnerships.

Our Hospice BDRs enjoy some excellent benefits

• Base salary starting at $70,000 annually plus commission opportunities • Flexible schedule and family-oriented culture that promotes work-life balance • PTO, Holiday Pay, Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) benefits offered after eligibility requirements are met • Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families • Supportive leadership team and established community presence

As a Hospice Business Development Representative, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other referral partners throughout the Southside territory • Educate healthcare professionals and community partners regarding hospice eligibility, services, and benefits • Generate appropriate hospice referrals through consistent outreach, relationship-building, and follow-up • Collaborate closely with admissions staff, clinical teams, and leadership to support patient needs and growth initiatives • Develop and execute territory business development plans and weekly outreach strategies • Document activities, referral development efforts, and territory updates using Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and company systems • Represent Interim HealthCare Hospice at community events, educational programs, and networking opportunities • Respond promptly and professionally to referral opportunities, inquiries, and customer concerns • Utilize contact management systems to track activities, referral sources, and account development efforts • Meet established productivity, growth, and customer service goals

• Prepare and conduct presentations regarding Interim HealthCare Hospice to referral sources, community organizations, and healthcare professionals

• In conjunction with leadership, develop and execute key account plans to strengthen referral relationships and expand market share

A few must-haves for our Hospice Liaison / Business Development Representative:

• Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare sales experience required; hospice experience strongly preferred • Demonstrated success achieving referral growth, census growth, or sales objectives • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities • Ability to work independently while remaining highly accountable for results • Professional appearance, conduct, and communication skills • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and related technology platforms • Strong understanding of hospice philosophy and commitment to ethical patient-centered care

The ideal candidate will

• Build authentic, long-term relationships with referral partners • Demonstrate resilience and professionalism in a competitive environment • Follow through on commitments and maintain a high level of accountability • Balance compassion with strong business development skills • Prioritize patients and families while supporting organizational growth • Embrace feedback, continuous learning, and teamwork

At Interim HealthCare, integrity comes before numbers. We are committed to ethical admissions practices, compassionate care, and building trusted partnerships throughout the communities we serve.
