Job description

We are looking for a Used Car Technician/Mechanic to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background. The day-to-day duties include performing safety inspections on vehicles and completing required repairs.

Flat Rate Hourly Pay Range: $25.83 to $34.94

Targeting Hiring Range - Hourly Flat Rate: $25.83 $30.00

Responsibilities

  • Perform safety inspections on used vehicles

Complete appropriate repairs and recalls as required

Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

Coordinate with the Service Manager and Used Vehicle Reconditioning Manager to ensure reconditioning meets standards and is completed on time

Qualifications

2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience at a dealership is preferred

  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

Enjoys working in a dynamic environment

A teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively

Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
