SAT Tutor – Saturday Program (Contract)

Location: Eastwood Academy

Schedule: 6 Saturdays: January 31; February 7, 21, 28; March 21 & 28 Time Commitment: 4 hours each Saturday

Compensation: $27–$30 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Eastwood Academy is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging SAT Tutor to provide targeted instruction for students preparing for the April SAT administration . The ideal candidate is confident with SAT content, understands test strategies, and can adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

•

Deliver structured, SAT-focused instruction covering Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing (as applicable)

•

Teach effective test-taking strategies and time management skills

•

Identify student strengths and areas for improvement

•

Provide clear explanations and guided practice using SAT-style questions

•

Foster a supportive and motivating learning environment

•

Track student progress and adjust instruction as needed

Qualifications

•

Minimum 1–2 years of tutoring or teaching experience at the secondary (middle or high school) level

•

Demonstrated experience with SAT or standardized test preparation strongly preferred

•

Strong communication and classroom management skills

•

Ability to engage students and explain complex concepts clearly

•

Reliable, punctual, and professional

Preferred Skills

•

Familiarity with current SAT format and scoring

•

Experience working with small groups

•
