MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- Drive Regional Consistency & Efficiency: Implement, manage, and interpret compliance policies, procedures, and best practices across APAC to ensure alignment and operational efficiency.
- Risk & Process Optimization: Partner with APAC affiliates to identify compliance risks, strengthen internal controls, and recommend business process improvements that enhance effectiveness and reduce complexity.
- Data-Driven Monitoring & Insights: Design, implement, and execute a comprehensive monitoring plan leveraging advanced data analytics to detect abnormal trends, identify potential compliance risks, and generate actionable insights for APAC leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Training & Awareness Programs: Develop, deliver, and coordinate impactful education and communication, training initiatives focused on the Abbott Compliance Program, Code of Business Conduct, and global/local policies to foster a strong compliance culture.
- Information Management: Organize and maintain ethics and compliance records, documents, and databases to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness.
- System Coordination: Act as the APAC coordinator for OEC system implementations, updates, and enhancements, ensuring smooth adoption and user engagement.
- Regional Support & Travel: Provide on-site support to affiliates across APAC and internationally as needed. Estimated travel: 15–20%.
Education
•
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, Data Science, Finance, or equivalent
Experience / Background
•
5–7 years of relevant experience
•
Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibility in compliance and/or risk management , including substantial experience within a multinational organization
•
Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, internal controls, or risk management ; experience in a similar role is a plus
•
Healthcare and/or FMCG background strongly preferred
•
Strong analytical capability to understand complex issues and translate findings into actionable recommendations
•
Ability to work independently with strong adaptability in a dynamic, multicultural environment
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills , with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts and develop engaging content
•
Proven stakeholder management across functions and with external parties (e.g., suppliers)
•
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in ambiguous situations
Language
•
Proficient in English; additional Asian languages are a plus
Technical
- Proficient in MS Excel, Pivoting, PowerPoint, and Notes for data compilation and analysis
- Strong Power BI skills for dashboard creation and data visualization
- Ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
