Job description
Job Summary Supervise landscaping, grounds maintenance, and horticultural crews to deliver high-quality site presentation and project outcomes. Coordinate schedules, resources, and client communications to ensure timely and safe completion of work. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Supervise and coordinate daily activities of landscaping and grounds maintenance crews to meet project objectives. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide on-the-job guidance to ensure work meets client specifications and quality standards. Inspect sites and completed work to identify deficiencies, ensure proper plant care, and maintain aesthetic standards. Operate and oversee maintenance of landscaping equipment and ensure tools are stored and serviced appropriately. Plan and schedule tasks, estimate material needs, and coordinate deliveries and subcontractor activities as required. Enforce health and safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and maintain records of incidents and corrective actions. Requirements Multiple years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture, including supervisory responsibilities. Practical knowledge of plant care, turf management, pruning techniques, and pest and weed control. Experience with operation and basic maintenance of common landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and compact loaders. Ability to read and interpret site plans, work orders, and client specifications and to perform basic material and time estimates. Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate crew members. Physically able to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions and to travel between job sites as required.
