Theatre Ward Clerk
Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Theatre Ward Clerk to join our dynamic Theatre team on a permanent part-time basis. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and a proven capacity to develop professional working relationships with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary theatre staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for entering daily theatre information into the hospital software system, coordinating theatre lists and requirements, and communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient operation of theatre services.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an effective and approachable administrative professional with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values.
You will also demonstrate:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an administration hospital-based role
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus
- Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy.
- High level time management and organisational skills
- Certificate in Medical terminology highly regarded
- A professional and personable disposition
- Ability to work within a team environment and multitask
- Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp concepts with ease
- Previous experience using Patient Information Systems (i.e. Meditech)
- Previous experience using hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)
