Job description

Spotware Systems is looking for a Business Analyst to turn product hypotheses and priorities into developer-ready requirements, keep engineering unblocked through build and test, and help drive product and growth decisions with data for a new direct-to-consumer trading product.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product hypotheses and priorities into developer-ready specifications, backlog items, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the whole R&D team to keep scope, dependencies, and trade-offs clear.
  • Act as engineering's day-to-day point of contact for requirement clarification throughout build and test.
  • Organize and prioritize incoming product feedback and improvement requests into clear, actionable work for the team.
  • Help shape and validate product and growth hypotheses, keeping them structured, versioned, and traceable.
  • Contribute to the measurement of the product - help define metrics, dashboards, and instrumentation requirements, and turn funnel and cohort data into insight for decisions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years as a business / systems analyst delivering software products - turning ambiguous product intent into precise, testable specifications and acceptance criteria for developers, while holding context across product, engineering, compliance, and offer threads.
  • Hands-on with backlog and documentation tooling (Jira / YouTrack / Confluence / Notion / Linear) and process modeling / diagramming (BPMN, user flows, wireframes; Miro / Lucidchart / Figma).
  • AI-native ways of working - uses AI and automation as the default to do the analyst's job (spec-writing, data queries, research, documentation) with minimal manual labor, not as an afterthought.
  • API and data-flow literacy - reads API docs, understands integrations and event tracking.
  • Data-driven approach to work - comfortable reading funnel and cohort data, metrics, and dashboards and understanding what they mean; working knowledge of SQL and a BI / product-analytics tool (e.g. Metabase, Amplitude, Mixpanel) a plus.
  • Domain exposure to fintech, brokerage, trading, or another regulated, data-heavy consumer product is a strong plus.
  • Soft skills: precise communicator and a reliable bridge between business and engineering; comfortable operating with ambiguity and autonomy; structured, organized, and proactive. Conditions
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Relocation support (if applicable), including an entry permit, relocation bonus, flight tickets, and airport pickup.
  • Support with settling into life in Cyprus, including basic guidance on everyday matters, accommodation, banking, and healthcare.
  • A comfortable office environment with fresh fruits every day, treats or pizza on Wednesdays, and snack day on Fridays.
  • Fair remuneration based on your experience, skills, and level of responsibility.
  • Welcome Baby Bonus and Baby Box to celebrate the arrival of a child.
  • Birthday voucher.
  • Partial compensation for sports activities and wellness initiatives.
  • Greek language classes.
