Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot all onboard broadcast equipment, including audio and video systems, satellite and cable systems, and internet and network systems
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs to ensure all equipment is functioning properly
  • Set up and operate equipment for live events and broadcasts, including concerts, shows, and onboard activities
  • Monitor and adjust broadcast signals to ensure high-quality transmission
  • Work closely with other crew members to coordinate and execute onboard entertainment and communication events
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in broadcast technology and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements to equipment and systems
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment and systems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Broadcast Technician or in a similar role
  • Technical knowledge and experience with audio and video systems, satellite and cable systems, and internet and network systems
  • Familiarity with live event production and broadcast operations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work and live onboard a cruise ship for extended periods of time
