About Our Client: Our client is a Fortune Global 500 leader in engineering and construction, renowned for delivering large-scale, critical infrastructure projects worldwide. With a formidable presence in over 130 countries, they specialize in power, water, and environmental projects, leveraging immense technical expertise and financial strength.
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead a critical waterworks project in Hong Kong on behalf of our client. This senior role holds ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of the construction contract. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, ensuring all project objectives are met in terms of safety, quality, program, and budget. This is the only management position with non-full-time on-site requirements, focusing on high-level management and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall strategic leadership and direction for the entire construction project.
- Manage all aspects of the construction contract, ensuring compliance with NEC contract procedures.
- Lead, manage, and coordinate the site-based management team and subcontractors.
- Be the primary point of contact for the client's Service Manager and other stakeholders.
- Ensure project delivery within budget, on schedule, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Oversee project planning, risk management, and reporting.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in the Civil Discipline or an equivalent recognized professional body.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Project Manager/Construction Manager for a main contractor within the last 10 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in the role of Construction Manager or Site Agent under an NEC contract , OR hold a certification as an NEC3 or NEC4 Service Manager/Project Manager .
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil engineering or waterworks contracts.
