HVAC Mechanical Engineer (M/F)
Job description
Our client is currently strengthening its team by hiring an HVAC Mechanical Engineer:
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related mechanical systems
- Prepare HVAC calculations (cooling/heating loads, ventilation rates, duct and pipe sizing, equipment selection)
- Produce and review technical drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, electrical, structural)
- Support project execution from concept design through construction and commissioning
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and best practices
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases
- Assist in cost estimation and value engineering when required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC system design and/or engineering
- Good knowledge of HVAC principles, equipment, and materials
- Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, local codes, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good command of written and spoken English
