Competence Profile: Agile Product Owner – Payments Domain

• Core Competencies

Payment Systems Expertise: Deep domain knowledge of domestic payment systems in Sweden, including: Bankgirot BGC, RIX-INST, RIX-RTGS, Clearing and settlement processes for Swedish Krona (SEK). Solid expertise in international cross-border payment systems such as: SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX formats) ISO 20022 protocols. o Added advantage if you have knowledge on European payment systems / clearings, including:

§ SEPA Credit Transfer

§ SEP Instant Credit Transfer

Agile Mindset & Practices: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Experience in leading product backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews. Ability to prioritize and manage product increments based on business value.

• Functional Skills

Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to payments: PSD2 (Payment Services Directive), AML/KYC requirements. Local Swedish financial regulations for SEK transactions. Knowledge around FX handling in payments Knowledge of reconciliation processes between domestic and global clearing networks.

• Technical Expertise Hands-on experience with modern financial technology stacks and systems used by banks or fintech’s. Knowledge of cloud-based technologies supporting scalable payment solutions. Understanding APIs for payment initiation and reporting services.
• Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Proven ability to work with diverse teams including developers, testers, UX designers, etc. Strong stakeholder management skills: Collaborating with internal departments like Risk/Compliance teams or external partners like clearinghouses/banks.
• Analytics & Reporting Experience around analyzing transaction data trends for improving user experiences and minimizing costs.
