Husky Musher / Husky Opas

HUSKY MUSHER

We are seeking a Husky Musher to join our team for the winter season, caring for our dogs and taking our guests on an unforgettable adventure into the Lapland wilderness. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care of our husky dogs and delivering unique sledding experiences to our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Caring for and training our husky dogs
• Leading guests on husky sledding tours
• Providing safety instructions and ensuring guest safety during tours
• Maintaining the kennels and equipment
• Feeding, grooming, and monitoring the health of the huskies
• Delivering a memorable and educational experience to guests about huskies and mushing
• Assisting with other resort activities as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in dog mushing or working with sled dogs
• A strong passion for animals and wildlife
• Good physical fitness and stamina
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of animal first aid
• Ability to work in cold weather conditions
• Valid drivers license

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in tourism or guiding
• Fluency in multiple languages
• Knowledge of local area

PAY, DURATION, AND BENEFITS

• Starts: October, Ends: April
• Working hours 120h/3week period
• Monthly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience (2408 - 2580 €/month)
• Supplements + overtime payments according to the collective labour agreement
• If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for 300,00 €/month

HUSKY-OPAS

Etsimme husky-opasta liittymään tiimiimme tulevalle talvikaudelle huolehtimaan koiristamme ja viemään vieraamme unohtumattomalle seikkailulle Lapin luontoon. Tässä roolissa vastaat husky-koiriemme päivittäisestä hoidosta sekä ainutlaatuisten rekielämysten tarjoamisesta vieraillemme.

KESKEISET TYÖTEHTÄVÄT

• Husky-koirien hoito ja koulutus
• Turvallisuusohjeiden antaminen ja vierailijoiden turvallisuuden varmistaminen retkien aikana
• Kennelalueen ja varusteiden kunnossapito
• Koirien ruokinta, harjaus ja terveydentilasta huolehtiminen
• Unohtumattoman ja informatiivisen elämyksen tarjoaminen asiakkaillemme
• Tarvittaessa muissa lomakeskuksen toiminnoissa avustaminen

• Aikaisempi kokemus valjakkoajosta tai rekikoirien kanssa työskentelystä
• Intohimo luontoa ja eläimiä kohtaan
• Hyvä fyysinen kunto

• Kyky työskennellä kylmissä sääolosuhteissa

PALKKAUS, TYÖSUHTEEN KESTO JA EDUT

• Työsuhde alkaa lokakuussa ja päättyy huhtikuussa
• Työaika 120h/3vko
• Kuukausipalkka sovitaan haastattelussa osaamisen ja kokemuksesi mukaan (2408 - 2580 €/kk)
• Muut edut, lisät ja ehdot määräytyvät työehtosopimuksen mukaisesti
• Tarvittaessa tarjoamme majoituksen jaetussa huoneessa hintaan 300,00 €/kk
